Pay motorway toll charges using the Via T Card.
You will be able to pay motorway toll charges without having to stop or get out of your vehicle.
How does it work?
When you drive through the electronic toll payment lane known as Via T (at a maximum speed of 40 Km/h), an antenna will detect your Via T toll payment device.
Once detected, the payment is automatically taken and your Via T device will beep to confirm that the toll charge has been paid. After this sound, the traffic light turns green and the barrier will lift automatically so you can continue on your journey. The toll charges will then be debited from your Caixa Rural Xilxes account.
In what kind of vehicles can you install a Via T device?
Via T can be installed and used in light and heavy vehicles, as both can use motorways with toll charges. However, if there are any possible restrictions (clearance, trailers, etc.), you should drive through the manual payment lane and show your Via T to the cashier.
Where can I use Via T?
You will be able to use Via T in two types of toll lanes:
Exclusive lanes
These are lanes reserved exclusively for users of the automatic toll payment system. To access them, you must have a Via T device installed. The traffic sign that identifies these lanes is circular, and shows a white capital T on a blue background.

Mixed lanes
These are lanes where you can pay using electronic toll payment systems as well as other forms of payment (cards, cash). The traffic sign that identifies these lanes is rectangular, and includes a white letter T on a blue background.

How do I install a Via T device?
It's very easy to install. Even though there are different types of device, they are all installed in the same way.
In light vehicles
You should put your Via T in the middle of your car's front windshield at the top (behind the rear view mirror), 5 centimetres from the edge (marked with an X on the illustration above).

In heavy vehicles
You should put your Via T at the bottom of your vehicle's front windshield, 5 centimetres from the edge (marked with an X on the illustration above).

IMPORTANT!
If your front windshield is athermal with a reflective layer, you must position your Via T device somewhere that allows for the correct exchange of waves with the antenna.
Discounts and billing
You can find out about discounts and billing for the Via T device from the companies that issue them. You can also find out extensive information about VIA T at www.viat.es
